Spring Science Extravaganza 2023

Student looking at microscopic slides

The Little Shop of Physics’ Spring Science Extravaganza was held at CSU on April 23, 2023.

BROADN volunteers taught participants how to use microscopes and prepare their own samples or select pre-made samples. Participants at this free and public event marveled at the microscopic particles they observed.

BROADN educational workshop

Four young students look together at a microscope.

On March 30, 2023, 25 eighth-grade students from Highland Middle School in Ault, Colorado, attended a BROADN educational workshop. The workshop, hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences at CSU, allowed students to explore the invisible world of the aerobiome. Using microscopes, the students prepared and compared aerobiome particles.
